He was the:
Loving Son of the late Mikhail and Hassina Denha.
Beloved Husband of Haifa Denha.
Devoted Father of Dalia (Noor) Atisha, Olivia (Steven) Arnold, Vidal (Heather) Denha, and Ramy (Amanda) Denha.
Proud Grandfather of Neveen, Noah, Mikhail, Aiden, Gabrielle, Matthew, Julia, Mirelle, James, Victoria, Nolan, Alexa, and Luke.

Adored Uncle and Great Uncle to many
He was cherished, respected, and loved by all.
Amir Denha was born in Baghdad, Iraq in 1943. He was a very talented man who grew up in Baghdad, while spending his summers with his grandfather in the Chaldean village of Telkaif. Because of this, he had a strong appreciation for both ways of life but always dreamed of moving to the United States. Amir had had a strong affinity for writing, art, history, news, and politics. He excelled at all these things despite his high-school education level. Instead, he was mainly a self-educated man, which enabled him to follow his dream of publishing his own newspaper and becoming a writer.
In 1967, he moved to the United States where he eventually became a U.S. Citizen and brought his parents and all of his siblings to the U.S. from Iraq. He was dedicated to family and helping others his entire life. Professionally, he was able to accomplish the American Dream, where he founded the 'Chaldean Detroit Times' and received acclaim from the news, business, and political communities. He delivered world-wide news to the Arab and Chaldean American communities nationwide and played a significant role in the Chaldean community and the Chaldean Diocese of St.Thomas from its early days in 1980. He spent significant time involved in the US and World Political landscape, being interviewed as a world news subject matter expert by various news outlets, such as CNN, ABC, BBC, and Al-Jazeera. After 2011, Amir shifted his focus from the professional to strictly personal, where he focused exclusively on his family.
In his personal life, Amir Denha valued family, faith, relationships, and loyalty above all. He has offered countless family and community members strong council and support. He viewed himself as a dedicated son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. His greatest delights in life were his 13 grandchildren, and he shared a special bond with each of them. He was a faithful husband who loved his wife, Haifa Denha, very much, and a warm, loving, and encouraging father to his four children, Dalia, Olivia, Vidal, and Ramy.
Many will remember this wonderful and great man, but most importantly, he will be remembered and regarded as the strong and loving Patriarch of his family, and as a faithful servant of God. He is now in Heaven, watching over us.

Thank you and God bless you!
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the Kingdom and the Power,
and the Glory, for Ever and Ever.|
Amen
