Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Antonio Eric Montgomery, Sr.

Antonio Eric Montgomery, Sr. was born on December 14, 1982, to Patricia Montgomery and Al Early. From a young age, Antonio accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized. He opened his heart to the Lord and carried his faith with him throughout his life.

Antonio was a hardworking man who took great pride in his family, his work, and his ability to provide for those he loved. He began his career working alongside both sides of his family in the family-owned businesses, Alma’s Dairy Whip and Broadway Transmission. These early experiences helped shape his strong work ethic.

With his natural mechanical ability and passion for cars, Antonio entered the corporate world when he accepted a position with AutoZone Auto Parts. Through dedication, determination, and a commitment to excellence, he advanced in the company and proudly became a Store Manager.

Never one to stop growing, Antonio later accepted a position with O’Reilly Auto Parts, where he continued to build upon his passion and knowledge of the automotive industry. He aspired to become a District Manager and was always looking toward the next opportunity to grow and succeed.

Above all his professional accomplishments, Antonio was a devoted family man. Antonio became a father when he welcomed his first son, Antonio Eric Montgomery, Jr., into the world on September 24, 2002. Antonio and his son grew up together, sharing a special bond and creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Antonio later met Ivy Montgomery in 2015. They married in 2016 and welcomed Ivyn Antonio Montgomery on December 28, 2017, and Heavyn Erica Montgomery on May 15, 2022. Antonio and Ivy were married for ten years, and built a family filled with love and memories that will forever remain in their hearts. Antonio’s children were his pride and joy, and being a father was one of the greatest blessings of his life.

Antonio knew how to enjoy the simple things in life. He loved to barbecue, cook, listen to music, spend time with family and friends, and create meaningful memories with the people he loved most. Antonio’s presence, personality, laughter, and ability to bring people together made him someone who was deeply loved and appreciated by many.

Antonio leaves to cherish his memory his children Antonio Eric Montgomery Jr., Ivyn Antonio Montgomery, and Heavyn Erica Montgomery, his mother, Patricia Montgomery-Taylor (Alford); father, Al Early; Siblings, Consandra Montgomery, Travis Hayward; Ashlee Early; and Deven Early; nephews, Anthonie Lewis, Jr. and Travis Hayward Jr; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who loved him deeply.

Antonio’s life was a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His love for his family, generous spirit, sense of humor, and the memories he created with those around him will forever remain part of his legacy.

Though Antonio’s time on earth was far too short, the impact he made on the lives of others will never be forgotten. He was loved by many, cherished, and will be greatly missed.

We will carry his memory in our hearts, speak his name with love, and hold tightly to the moments we were blessed to share with him.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
