IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Basima (Betty)
Kattoula
May 17, 1954 – October 3, 2020
It's with great sadness that we announce the loss of our beloved mother,
wife, sister, and friend, Basima (Betty) Kattoula.
Daughter of Sulaiman and Amina Salem.
Beloved wife to the late Mike Jirjis Kattoula and a amazing mother
to Vanessa (Andrew) Hatty, Veronica (Essam) Al-Falah, and Vinson Kattoula.
Loving sister to Wedad Jamil, the late Hermiz Salem, the late Sabriya Salem,
Thomas Salem, the late Sabri Salem, George Salem, Steve (Zuhair) Salem,
the late Hikmat Salem, Johny Salem, and Ahlam Salem.
Basima will be remembered as a woman with great honor and pride.
She was extremely hardworking, selfless, and dedicated her life to her children.
In fact, she considered her greatest legacy to be her children.
Her proudest moments are watching each of them graduate from college.
Basima loved her family more than anything and will be severely missed.
Basima's greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones.

We are so grateful to everyone who has reached out and thankful that we have an amazing support system.
We ask that everyone keep safety as their number one priority.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, family and friends will be asked
to wear a mask and maintain social distancing while attending funeral services.
One of Basima's favorite poems…
Don't Quit
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
when the road you're trudging seems all up hill
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
and you want to smile, but you have to sigh
When care is pressing you down a bit,
rest if you must but don't you quit
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
as everyone of us sometimes learns
And many a failure turns about
when he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow -
you may succeed with another blow
Success is failure turned inside out -
the silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
it may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -
it's when things seem worst that you must not quit.
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen
May God grant you eternal paradise as you rest in peace. Until we meet again.
