Obituary

We regret to inform you of the loss of the beloved Chawkat (Mourad) Said.

Son of the late Bedros Mouradian and late Maryam Keryakos.
Loving husband of Milade Said.
Devoted father of Peter Said, Sandra Said and Christine (Samer) Madi .
Cherished brother of Garabed (d.) (Serpoun) Mouradian , Manix Mouradian (d.), Noubar
Mouradian, Shamiram (Ibrahim) Al-Araj, Hermine Mouradian, Anahid (George) Bermeo , and Sonia Mouradian.

Mourad was a devoted and loyal Son, Brother, Husband, and Father. Fueled by his
determination to make something of himself, he left his home in Syria at the age of 14
searching for a better future for his family. First, settling in Lebanon, he began working different
jobs to make ends meet, as he continued to search for a better opportunity, eventually, landing
a successful position as a commercial representative for an American company. Throughout his
worldly travels, he became exposed and infatuated with the world of Gemstones, which started
as a hobby and then became his passion, lifelong career and business. He specialized in
precious and semi-precious stones and became a mentor for countless enthusiasts in the
business. Little did he know, his greatest treasure would be waiting for him back in Lebanon,
where he met his beautiful and beloved wife Milade Kahwaji. They moved to the states in 1988,
escaping the Lebanese civil war, sacrificing their lives for his son and unborn daughter at that
time. His life was his family, wife and children. Born with a pure heart of gold, he often
sacrificed more for others than himself, his memory lives on through his wife and 3 children.

Thank You and May God Bless You.

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
Thy Kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil;
for thine is the Kingdom and the Power,
and the Glory, for Ever and Ever.
Amen
