Obituary

Dr. Daniel Nabil Frangie was born on April 1, 1985 in Lansing, Michigan. He was a proud eight-year Spartan, having attended Michigan State University and attained a Bachelor of Science in Physiology followed by his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Henry Ford Health System where he continued his professional calling at Henry Ford West Bloomfield for 11 years as a devoted emergency physician. He was highly respected and loved by many of his patients, colleagues, friends, and the broader community whom he deeply impacted on both personal and professional levels. Over the past two-year period, he bravely fought his battle against stage IV esophageal cancer, which he succumbed to on September16, 2026. This fight significantly strengthened his Catholic faith and gave him a newfound mission of spreading the word of God and making beautiful handmade decade rosaries to encourage friends and family to pray and return to God.

Daniel was a loving husband and best friend of Fadia with whom he shared 15 years of marriage. Cherished and devoted father of Liliana “Lily”, Lucas, and Layal Frangie. Precious son of Nabil and Diane Frangie. Adored brother of Carolyn (Eric) Golota. Caring uncle of Ryan and Adrienne Golota. Loving nephew of Charles (Vera) Frangie, Nassim (Leila) Frangie, and Noelle (Marwan) Abood. Loving son-in-law of Bashar and Amal Sarraf. Dear brother-in-law to Mina (Ghassan) Allo and Zena Sarraf. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nehme and Melanie Frangie and Richard and Lucy Tideswell. He is adored by many aunts and uncles, cousins, extended family, andfriends.

A truly remarkable man who has led a profoundly impactful life, Daniel’s legacy will live on through all who were blessed to know him. He will be remembered for his infectious sense of humor, kindness, compassion, courteousness, selflessness, and eagerness to help others with unconditional love. Most of all, he wanted to be remembered for his most cherished title, “Baba” (Dad), with his children being his true pride and joy in life and his greatest life mission.

The family extends their deepest and sincere gratitude to the Henry Ford West Bloomfield Emergency Department colleagues, residency friends, the West Bloomfield Fire Department, the St. Patrick’s Catholic School family, and countless community members for their immense support to the family during this difficult time.

Eternal God, in Whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase your mercy in us, that in difficult moments, we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.
Amen.

O, Mary Conceived Without Sin, Pray For Us Who Have Recourse To Thee!
Amen

May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most incomprehensible and unutterable Name of God be always praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth, by all the creatures of God, by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ, in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.
Amen.
