It is with great sadness that we inform you of the loss of the beloved Duray Akram Abboo. Duray was born March 5, 1960 in Baghdad, Iraq to the late Akram Abou and the loving Nahida (Tommina) Abou.

Husband of the beautiful and devoted Wafa Barbat Abboo with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.

Beloved father of Renee (Majed) Khmoro, Falon (Rani) Shamoun and Joseph Abboo. 

Loving and affectionate grandfather to Roman, Khloe, Francis, and Fabian.

Dearest brother of Louay (Amal) Abboo, Kousai Abbo and Nadia (Salwan) Arabo.

Adored son in law of the late Salim and loving Selma Barbat.

Cherished brother in law of Nawal (the late Sami) Yaldo, Helda Barbat, Mazen (Nadia) Barbat, Nedda (Michael) Stratte, Feras (Rhonda) Barbat.

He was a treasured uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews.

A truly remarkable man with a heart full of love. Duray will forever be remembered for his kindness, infectious sense of humor, and the warmth he brought to everyone that was blessed to know him. He had a beautiful way of making everyone feel special, always greeting others with genuine excitement, the biggest smile, and the warmest hugs. His legacy will live on through the countless hearts he touched and the unconditional love he so effortlessly shared.
