IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edward Abid
Semaan
November 25, 1950 – January 26, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of the beloved Edward Abid Semaan.
Edward was born in 1950 in Baghdad, Iraq, to Abid Semaan and Daizy Delly Semaan. He was the second eldest of four children and, from an early age, was defined by responsibility, faith, and quiet strength. In 1963, at just 13 years old, he came to America carrying burdens far beyond his years, helping to support his entire family with determination and grace.
Through hard work, perseverance, and unwavering integrity, Edward grew into a successful business owner. He had a big heart and was always willing to help others, doing so humbly and without seeking recognition. He gave quietly, supported his community faithfully, and rarely complained—even in the face of hardship. His strength was steady, and his character unshakable.
In 1977, Edward met and fell in love with his beautiful wife, Najwa Delly. Together they built a life centered on faith and family and were blessed with four loving children. His family was everything to him and, next to God, what he cherished most in this world. He was deeply proud of his daughter, Natalie, and his three sons, Michael, David, and Harvey. He also found joy and comfort in the companionship of his beloved cats, Nick and Tony.
Edward was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Sabah Semaan. He is survived by his brother, Simon Semaan, and his sister, Eman Semaan.
Above all, Edward was a humble, strong, and loving man who lived his life with dignity, devotion, and faith. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so fiercely and the lives he touched so quietly.

Thank you and God bless you!
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the Kingdom and the Power,
and the Glory, for Ever and Ever.
Amen
