Dear family and friends, It is with great sadness that we inform you of the loss of Evelyn Qasawa Ketty our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 5th, 2022.
She was born July 1st, 1942 in Baghdad, Iraq to the late Putrus and Aliza Qasawa.
Evelyn was a devoted wife to the late Ghazi Tobia Ketty. Together they had 6 beautiful children: Majida Ketty, Majid (Intisar) Ketty, the late Nazik (Yousif) Ketty Sanati, Aida Abbo, Janan (Carl) Barash, and Ghassan Ketty. Beloved sister to the late Salima Salmo, the late Manuel Qasawa, Latif Qasawa, Amal Maroof, Souad Salmo, Hanna Qasawa, Juliet Shammass and Nabil Qasawa.
Humble grandmother of 20 grandchildren and20 great grandchildren.
Evelyn's greatest love was her family. Despite her large family, she always played the role of a mother and grandmother to all. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. She will be missed greatly by all those that had the honor of knowing her. Her light lives on forever in the memories she leaves behind.
