My Dad

Let us ask ourselves what makes a Father? Is it the involvement in creating the child? Or is it loving the child? A True father is A Man who is not so much involved in creating the child but being there, and helping to raise the child with faith and love. Mothers have the blessing of carrying the children, and all the pain and suffering. However the father needs to make up for that, and my dad did an excellent job doing that. He had a Heart of Gold, staying up late at night when I got sick, or going to work all day just to put food on the table and a roof over our head. He would do anything and did everything for us without thinking about himself. The amount of wisdom and knowledge that came from him was not explainable. And every day as I listened to his stories of being back home and his stories of school I always said to myself there can't be anymore knowledgeable information coming from this man. And yet he hasn't stop to amaze me . I called him Baba or Bob for short because he earned that name. He loved and taught me how to be a real man. He raised 4 tough and strong men. He knows 3 languages. He came from another country with very little and has been blessed with many things. He loved his brothers and sisters not to mention his brother and sister in-laws. You see "The world Promises us comfort, but you were not made for comfort. You were made for Greatness" The blessed Pope Benedict XVI (16th). He never spoke bad about anyone, he still found the good in people when there was no good in them. Yet he fought the good fight and though it wasn't as long as we expected it to be. But he finally has earned his rest in the everlasting Kingdom, and I know one day we will all be reunited. Dad we all love you, we will miss you, when you see Bryson give him a big hug and kiss for all of us. If I can be half the man you were I will have accomplished more than the average person does in their lifetime. Rest in Paradise Baba we love you.
