Julia Margaret Najor, beloved wife of the late Salim Peter Najor, was welcomed into the radiant gates of heaven on August 14 th , 2014. Her gentle, loving spirit was born on November 30 th , 1936 and never wavered in her 77 years of life.
Julia's sense of humor is one of the things we all loved most about her. Whether she was talking about her beloved Tigers or telling stories about her children, she could always make us laugh. No one could surpass Julia's cooking abilities, but she enjoyed watching us try to learn beside her. No matter the time of day, she welcomed people into her home, generously offering love and kindness to everyone who walked through the door. Her grandchildren especially loved the constant supply of laughter, candy and The Cosby Show reruns.
Julia's children were her whole world, and she is survived by Peter Najor (Rebecca), Doug Najor (Donna), Doreen Najor (Dave), David Najor (Lynn), Maureen Najor (Fred), and Janet Najor. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Olivia, Tyler, Matthew (Lindsay), Marc, Nicholas, Courtney, David (Candice), Jeremy, Bonnie, Brittany, Marissa, Hillary, Cassie, Keeley, Noah, and Nathan. She was a devoted sister to Rosemary, Catherine, George, Jerry, Evelyn and the late Manuel.
She created a beautiful family with faith in God being the center of her life. She was a nurturing, loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Her strength and resilience made those around her feel endlessly supported and loved. Julia was the rock of our family, and she will be missed every second of every day. Though she has left us here on earth, she has left a legacy of love, compassion and generosity in all of our hearts.
