IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret Mansour
George
December 17, 1929 – March 19, 2021
With profound sadness we announce the loss of our Matriarch, Margaret Mansour George.
She left this world at age 91 on March 19
th
, 2021 at William Beaumont Farmington Hills surrounded by family.
Margaret lived her whole life as an exceptional wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family and friends.
She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She was always the first to offer help.
It would be wrong to say that Margaret lost her battle because she never stopped fighting.
No matter how sick she was, she was always determined.
When anyone else would have broken, our Matriarch stayed strong.
Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.
There was no quit in Margaret. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn't mean she lost her fight.
Margaret was the daughter of the late Mansour Sulaka and Habiba Zakar.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ayoub George Hanna,
her sister Hania (Eiya) Mansour Sulaka and brother Daoud Sulaka.
Loving mother to Gazi (Linda), Maryanne, Gus (Wendy), Caroline and Kahtan George.
Adored Grandmother to Omar, Yasmine, Robert, Carol Ann, Noor, Christine, Michelle and Christopher.
Loving Great Grandmother to Jacob, Grant, Graham, Benjamin and Garen.
The George family wishes to thank Caroline,
for her devotion staying by Margaret's hospital bed side caring for her needs
for months in spite of the pandemic dangers.
The Georges also wish to express their gratitude
to Kahtan along with Caroline, for their care and compassion to Margaret for over 24 years.
She will be missed by her extended family and all who knew and loved her.
Mama
We miss your voice.
We miss your smile.
We miss how much you loved us.
We miss you so much.
At Margaret's request she will be laid to rest
in Orange County California next to her late husband and sister.
Due to the ongoing pandemic we understand taking precautions
and remaining safe is a priority to us all.
Accordingly the family will accept condolences
by phone calls, social media, messages and texting.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your heart and share with me
God wanted me now, He set me free
Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
