Mrs. Nazhat Yono, age 85, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 23, 2021, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Born on March 11, 1935 in Baghdad, Iraq, to the late Daoud and Ghazala Numan, she immigrated to the United States in 1966 with her husband Manuel Yono and their family. Nazhat was a proud homemaker and later, took on an integral role in starting the family restaurant. She also played a major role in raising her grandchildren and was always very proud of her family's accomplishments. She was always so eager to cook and feed her family, lend a helping hand, and always enjoyed a late-night card game. Her way of cooking will be missed by all.
Nazhat was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
She is survived by her Children;

Nazhat was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years; Manuel Yono, her daughter; Sarab (Shawki) Kherkher, her parents; Daoud and Ghazala Numan and her siblings; Najiba Mansour, Fatima Namy, Salim Numan, Salima Aiwaz, Manuel Numan.
Mama, we thank you for your sacrifices, your care and concern, your love and everything that you've done for us all. We know you are in a much better place. We are forever grateful and thankful to have had a Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother as special as you.
Special thanks to her daughter, Thayra (Faisel) Yousif, for taking on the role of her caretaker, as well as all of her in home care nurses, and Nathan Adelson Hospice.
