IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Ann
Stock
September 1, 1934 – June 13, 2024
Patricia Ann (Sheehan) Stock, Union Lake, MI
Pat was born to Jane M (Carroll) and Bernard John
Sheehan in September 1934, eighth of ten pure Irish
children in River Rouge, MI. She is survived by her
seven children, Amy Elizabeth (Bill) Ranger, James
Brian, Mary (the Late William) Wallace, David Michael
(Sheila Fontana), Christopher Joseph (Maurene
Muzzarelli), Joan Marie (the Late Christopher)
Mansueti, John Bernard (Tina Hebert), two siblings
Gerald (Theresa) and Thomas (Alice) and 15
grandchildren: Aiden, Isabelle, Emma, Max, Thomas,
Kara, Jack, Patti, Beth, Julia, Dillon, Joe, CJ, Katie and
Nick, two by marriage: Isabel and Taylor, and about
35 nieces and nephews Pat follows her husband,
Thomas Burch Stock, her parents and her siblings Katie,
Mary, Joan, Bernard, James, Rita and Jane in joining the
Communion of Saints
Pat attended Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic
Schools downriver, and earned her RN at Mercy
College in Detroit. She met Tom at work and then
married in 1957, raised her seven kids in Detroit, Lathrup Village and on Friar Lane in Southfield, before
moving to Union Lake. She volunteered at her children's schools, the Detroit Convention and Visitor's
Bureau, and at Open Door in Union Lake, among other contributions. She and Tom were members with
10 of their friends in a monthly potluck group that shared dinner continually for over 60 years. They
also enjoyed a cabin at Canada Creek Ranch, where Pat entertained her long-time women friends
"hunting group."
Pat loved singing and always managed to get folks singing at gatherings. In fact her kids always tried to
get her singing while she was driving because she went faster and faster! She also loved the arts,
international travel and a number of social justice causes. She loved the outdoors, especially the lake,
but got over tent camping early in life!
Pat cared for many other individuals along her journey, including her nephew Greg Neschich, her sister
Joan Sheehan, Violet Vis of Locklin Lane, and likely others. From early on, Pat would coach her children
that Death is a celebration and a victory. This is your invitation to join us!
The family invites you to join us in sending Pat onward at Southfield Funeral Home 18338 W 12 Mile Rd,
Southfield, MI 48076 on Friday, June 21 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM (including a prayer service at 6:30 PM); or
