IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shaoul "Saul"
Khoshaba Yousif
December 22, 1944 – October 9, 2022
Dear Family and Friends, we regret to inform you of the loss
of the beloved Shaoul "Saul" Khoshaba Yousif.
Saul Yousif, 78 years of age, passed away on Sunday, October 09, 2022.
Born December 22, 1944 in Habbaniyah, Iraq to the late Khoshaba and Martha Yousif, he was the 3rd child out of four children.
Saul received a bachelors degree in English Literature from Iraq and in 1971 migrated to Detroit, Michigan on an education visa. His love for learning led him to further his education by attending Wayne State University. In October of 1977, while in Egypt, Saul married his soul mate, Siranosh Rashu. Together, they migrated to Detroit , Michigan, where they raised their two beautiful daughters, Juliana and Charlene. Saul was a devoted father and with his wife Siranosh, instilled in his daughters the value of love, wisdom and knowledge, which made them the strong women they are today. In 2019, he became a beloved grandfather and cherished every moment he spent with his grandson, Dorian.
Saul played soccer in high school and shared his passion for soccer, tennis and hockey with his girls, as well as martial arts and action packed films. He loved to watch classical comedy films that included Charlie Chaplin and The Three Stooges. His laugh and smile were contagious and his light filled a room. He also loved to listen to classical music and Elvis.
His passion and drive to help his family and friends can only be admired. His love for God could only be rivaled by his love for his family. The time and dedication he spent on others in the community exemplified the importance he placed on serving others. He was loved in his community and played a vital role as a tax preparer and interpreter. Saul was a man of God who always helped those in need.
Saul's light shined very bright and will be terribly missed. Those who knew him knew a man of high integrity, honor and respectability in our community.
Son of the late Khoshaba and late Martha Yousif.
Loving Husband of the late Siranosh Yousif.
Devoted Father of Juliana Yousif and Charlene ( Dorian) Sims.
Doting Grandfather of Dorian Sims II.
Cherished Brother of Elia Yousif, Loudiya Akhidar and the late Maria Mikhail.
