Obituary

Dear Family and Friends,
We Regret the loss
of the late Shlemon Girigis Ammori

S hlemon Girgis Ammori was born on January 10, 1929 to Girgis and Misko (Kashat)
Ammori in Mosul, Iraq. He had three brothers and two sisters, (the late) Youhanna,
(the
late) Badir, Mikha, Mary, and Bahira.
He married Mary Sheena in 1947 and had nine

surviving children, Baha (Kamila) Ammori, Farook (Hana) Ammori, Ghalia (Sabah) Sagmani,
Azhar (George) Kalabat, Omar (Theresa) Ammori , Enoud Ammori, Niala (John) Richardson,
Saber (Jeanine) Ammori, and Nawal (Raymond) Salloum.
In April of 1969, Shlemon and his wife, Mary, decided to move their nine children to
America where he could provide them with a better life.
He was a great, kind, loving, and funny man who had a gift of making everyone in his
family feel like they were his favorite. He loved his wife immensely and was a beautiful
example of a father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
His top priorities in life have always been God, family, and community.
In addition to the
pride he had in his children and their offspring,
he was proud to be a Chaldean and
loved the Church and Jesus Christ.
Although he was never formally educated, he was very intelligent and a successful
businessman and provider for his family. He taught all of his family the importance of
education, work ethic, faith, and most importantly LOVE.
He was always tremendously
proud of everyone in his family and the people that they have all become.
Unfortunately, the times we are in dictate the way we can mourn and celebrate his life
well-lived. We find comfort in the fact that he is resting in peace with our mother.
Shlemon Ammori is survived by three siblings, nine children, and many grandchildren
and great-grandchildren.
We will all miss Sundays crammed into his house that never

felt too small for all of us.
Rest in Peace Sweet Baba "Charlie" Shlemon Ammori.

Our Father who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name;
Thy Kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil;
for thine is the Kingdom and the Power,
and the Glory, for Ever and Ever.
Amen
