Halabou
October 20, 1936 – May 5, 2025
Wadia Halabou , beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on May 5, 2025. She was surrounded by love, with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren at her side.
Wadia was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Faraj Halabou. She leaves behind her four children: Jalal (Enam), John, Jannar (Samer Kas-Marogi) and Jermi; her nine grandchildren: Fabian, Amanda, Bianca, Vania, Alex, Frederick, Kara, Fallen and Francine; and her three great-grandchildren: Magdalene, Conrad and Estelle.
Wadia was born on October 20, 1936 in Telkaif, Iraq to late parents, Issa and Shooshi Garmo, and was one of 11 children. She is survived by her brothers: Razzoouk, Georgis, Lateef, Woody and Mukhles; and her sisters: Latifa Denha, Nuhad Younan, Rizqia Shammami and Taghreed Shammami. She was preceded in death by her brother, Faiq.
She immigrated to the United States in 1974 with her husband and children. She lived a life devoted to her faith and her family.
